First Century in IPL:-

The first century (100 runs in a single inning) in the IPL was scored by Brendon McCullum of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the very first match of the IPL on April 18, 2008. He scored an unbeaten 158 runs off just 73 balls against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. McCullum’s innings included 10 fours and 13 sixes and set the tone for the IPL, which has since become one of the most popular cricket leagues in the world.

The fastest century in the Indian Premier League (IPL) was scored by Chris Gayle of the Royal Challengers Bangalore in just 30 balls against the Pune Warriors India on April 23, 2013, in Bengaluru. During his innings, Gayle hit 7 fours and 17 sixes and scored a total of 175 runs in just 66 balls, which is the highest individual score in an IPL innings. His blistering innings helped Royal Challengers Bangalore set a mammoth total of 263/5, which remains the highest team total in an IPL match.

Who has scored the fastest 50 in the IPL?

In the IPL 2023, Rajasthan Royals player Yashasvi Jaiswal has been performing exceptionally well. he set a new record by scoring the fastest 50 in IPL history, achieving this feat in just 13 balls against the Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. KL Rahul and Pat Cummins, who respectively played for Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders, and hit 50 in 14 balls, previously held the record.
